You can put them on both, they'll stay on for longer that way. However make sure you add only a small drop of glue or they'll be almost impossible to get off.

try both. i like putting the glue on the fake nail or i tend to put too much glue on.
either one, or both. I would say the nail , but be sure you like the nails and you have enough because they are EXTREMELY hard to get off
i put them on both and they stay on WAY longer.
