Do solvents such as glue aerosols and nail varnish remover do anything other then effect your brain?

Because people say it's really dangerous to sniff stuff like that but i was just woundering if it did anything other then effect your brain??Do solvents such as glue aerosols and nail varnish remover do anything other then effect your brain?
It could damage the nerve-endings in your nose and mouth, reducing your sense of smell and taste. The loss of these 2 senses could affect everything from diet to sex drive. People that have a no sense of smell are usually sexually dis-functional.
