How can you get nail glue for artificial nails off after you've removed the fake nail?

I've bought some artificial nail remover and it doesn't work! The glue is still on my nail :/ what do you suggest? How can you get nail glue for artificial nails off after you've removed the fake nail?
Use straight acetone, from any pharmacy or shops like boots, asda etc.

I needed about 2 - 3 bottles. Pour them into a bowl + just soak your nails tips in them, It does take about an hour or 2 but it works.

What you need to do, I used to have this problem all the time:), is gently rub the glue on your nails that's left behind with a soft emery board. Not the harsh side of an emery board though as that just scratches and shows once the glue is off. Then soak, for about 5 mins in nail varnish remover. It does work.
I would use a buffer/file to get it off. Try and get one that has the 4 different sides - 1. File

2. Smooth

3. Buff

4. Shine

You can pick them up in supermarkets or Boots/Superdrug for a couple of pounds.

Use them in order and it should get the glue off. Also you could try soaking your nails in warm soapy water before hand.

Hope this helps xxx
To avoid ruining your nails further, the best option is to file the glue off with a sort nail file. Once you have removed all glue use a smoothing file and make sure you apply a coat of nourishing nail polish (Rimmel do a good one)
Find a bottle of acetone and soak your nails in it for 5-10 minutes. If there's a lot, try filing the hardened glue before soaking.

Be careful you dont have any cuts on your fingers, it will sting like crazy!

Hope this helps
i held a cotton pad soaked in nailpolish remover on my nail for like 5-10mins, there was still a lil bit on the nail and i used a gentle buffer to smooth it out x
