So basically, I went the cheap way and bought fake nails from Walmart, I go swimming a lot, and I was wondering if the chlorine will weaken the nail glue, and make my nails fall off. It says on the box that Acetone takes it out, but I was just wondering.

You should be fine, but be sure you don't have any open spaces under the nails or you could get fungus. Not fun.

They say it sets glues and polish better, and I find it does as long as the glue and polish are not old.ie

A belt sander will do the job!!!!!
Acetone and a paint scraper. make sure to let the acetone soak on the glue for a bit then scrape carefully. :))

Need suggestions on how to get the glue under a lable on a plastic jar off. Nail polish remover didn't work.

Try either rubbing alcohol OR any oil- cooking oil or wd-40.

A hair dryer works well. It softens the glue whereby you can scrape it off pretty easy,then warm soapy water should do the trick.
keep it in hot soapy water even longer to get rid of the sticky...you can also try rubbing alcohol...either way you will probably have to scrub off some of the glue...i actually used a butter knife down the side the last time i needed to do that. good luck to you!

I hate this stylist shes not picking up her phone right now but basically she put glue on my braids and its close to my real hair i started to cut the back off and my hair starting to appear really short. if a licensed stylist used nail glue on your hair, the first thing you should do is report her to the state board and have her license revoked.
second, do nothing. make an appointment with another salon and stylist and have a professional decide what is best. for the health of your hair, you may have to have your hair cut. i am not sure, but i know acetone is bad for caucasian hair, so i would bet it is even worse for ethnic hair. don't mess with it - just get a professional to fix it. it might cost a bit, but it will be fixed the right way.

You're wise not putting acetone on your hair and scalp, you would most likely cause worse damage.
