Why cant you put nail glue on clothing?

i got a shirt made at the beach and the writting is falling off i wanted to wear it tonight but i dont have fabric glue so i was gonna use nail glue. but on the nail glue bottle it says dont use on clothing. any reason why?Why cant you put nail glue on clothing?
I have actually used nail glue before on clothing.


I used it to put a button back on a pair of pants I had bought, and this was years ago! and the button is still on there!





you might be thinking ';why didn't she just sew the button?'; the problem is that it was a metal button... the glue is still holding too after all these years. so you could try using it on your shirt.Why cant you put nail glue on clothing?
